We started on the road that led to the TORWAVE in 2017. We created and are continuously a pilot plant. We are just about to commission the first commercial example and are looking forward to seeing it in action.
Why the TORWAVE? There have been issues with industrial microwave processing systems based essentially around difficulties with presenting materials to microwaves in a consistent and effective way, avoiding arcing off moving parts, burning of trapped materials and diffusion of microwaves in steam clouds. Our technology’s unique and highly effective mixing of material in a bed without any moving parts addresses these common concerns. The combination of microwave and conventional heat sources offers superlative control: creating “slow” roast coffee in seconds, drying fragile materials without hardening the outside, selective heating of minerals… we saw the potential and created the TORWAVE.
