The TORWAVE processor merges the established TORBED technology with industrial-scale microwave energy. This hybrid approach enables exceptionally controlled, volumetric heating while maintaining operational resilience under high-temperature conditions—traits particularly valuable for demanding industrial processes.
TORWAVE offers an all-electric alternative to gas-fired systems and can replace traditional hydrocarbon-fuelled heating methods—such as natural gas burners—achieving thermal processing like drying, roasting, and pyrolysis with electricity instead. This fundamentally enables commercial gas carbon substitution, reducing reliance on fossil fuels. It also supports hydrogen process gas: When a process cannot be fully electrified, the systems can operate with hydrogen in place of conventional hydrocarbons, offering an adaptable route to lower-carbon operations.
